Rather predictable result when third ranked 9 de Julio (12-7) defeated on the road 6th ranked Jahal SJ (3-12) 65-59 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Martin Melo (198-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and guard Ramiro Maldonado (185-92) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. 9 de Julio's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Julio Carrizo (191-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and guard Ismael Sarruf (187-93) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Jahal SJ players scored in double figures. 9 de Julio moved-up to second place. Jahal SJ lost sixth consecutive game. Jahal SJ at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. 9 de Julio's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Cordoba to the arena Independ.
