We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Vicenza (15-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Faenza (15-9) 80-74 on Sunday. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Faenza outrebounded Vicenza 43-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Mattia Venucci (188-90) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Giordano Pagani (205-98) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (203-86, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) added 20 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Faenza moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with defeated Vicenza. Faenza will face Volpino (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Vicenza will play against the league's leader Cento (#1) and hope to win that game.
