Regular Season Round 20: Otsuka A. - Aisin AW 80-78

Seventh-ranked Aisin AW (9-17) gave a tough game to second ranked Otsuka A. (21-7) in Tokyo on Sunday. Otsuka A. managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and power forward Takeshi Hasegawa (196-84) who added 11 points and 7 assists during the contest. Center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Kenshin Urabe (188-95) scored 13 points. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Otsuka A. maintains second position with 21-7 record behind leader Tokyo HT. Aisin AW at the other side keeps the seventh place with 17 games lost. Otsuka A. are looking forward to face Saitama Broncos (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aisin AW will play against Tokyo Big Blue (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
