There was a minor upset when 7th ranked AE Sedis (11-10) lost to ninth ranked Socinsa Bembibre (9-11) in Seu D'urgell 62-66 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 24-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Socinsa Bembibre outrebounded AE Sedis 43-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Brittany Brown (173-95, college: Florida St., agency: ProDep Management) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 4 assists. Swedish forward Elin Gustavsson (190-93, college: Colorado St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Caitlyn Ramirez (188-94, college: Troy) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Jamaican forward Shereesha Richards (185-93, college: Albany) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for AE Sedis. The victory was the third consecutive win for Socinsa Bembibre. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser AE Sedis dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Socinsa Bembibre will face Sant Adria (#10) at home in the next round.
