Regular Season Round 33: Victoria - Gorizont II 60-82

Bottom-ranked Gorizont II managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive losses. This time they outleveled sixth-ranked Victoria in Grodno 82-60. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 22-point difference proves that Gorizont II was well-prepared to that game. The game was mostly controlled by Gorizont II. Victoria was better in fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Victoria to just 5 points in second quarter. Gorizont II made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Point guard Lyubov Stepanova (165-99) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and forward Darya Semiletnikova (185-1) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Gorizont II players scored in double figures. Guard Yana Yakhnavets (169-1) came up with 14 points and 4 steals and point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) added 12 points respectively for Victoria in the defeat. Victoria's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Gorizont II maintains seventh place with 3-21 record. Victoria at the other side keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost.
