The game in Malmo supposed to be quite interesting. Second ranked Koping Stars (17-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Malbas (4-13). Koping Stars smashed Malbas 108-52 on Sunday. The game without a history. Koping Stars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Malbas' 26. They outrebounded Malbas 39-17 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Koping Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Five Koping Stars players scored in double figures. Forward Gustav Claesson (197-97) answered with 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Stefan Alavuk (201-98) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Malbas. Koping Stars have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Malbas lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. Koping Stars are looking forward to face Hogsbo (#6) in Goteborg in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Malbas will play on the road against LF Future in Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
