Regular Season Round 30: Fujitsu RW - Yamanashi QB 87-68

Very expected game in Kawasaki where 11th ranked Yamanashi QB (2-28) was crushed by fifth ranked Fujitsu RW (20-10) 87-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Yamanashi QB managed to win fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Yamanashi QB 39-28 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Megumi Shinohara (184-91) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Miki Huzii (168-87) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fujitsu RW maintains fifth position with 20-10 record. Yamanashi QB lost sixteenth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 28 games lost. Fujitsu RW will meet higher ranked Toyota A. (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Yamanashi QB will play against Haneda Vickies (#9) in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
