Regular Season Round 20: Hapoel B/S - Maccabi H/H 101-99

Eleventh-ranked Hasharon (7-13) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Hapoel B/S (13-7) in Beer Sheva on Tuesday. Hapoel B/S managed to secure only two-point victory 101-99. However their fans expected much easier game. Hapoel B/S outrebounded Hasharon 44-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Hapoel B/S looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals and the other American import Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Ron Sport) who added 23 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) responded with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and the former international Sean Daniel (197-89) scored 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Five Hapoel B/S and four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S maintains fourth position with 13-7 record. Loser Hasharon keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Maccabi K/M. Hapoel B/S will meet Maccabi K/M (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hasharon will play against Hapoel Migd.H. in Tarshicha and hope to secure a win.
