Regular Season Round 25: Skallagrimur - Snaefell 118-87

Leader Skallagrimur delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Snaefell (12-10) 118-87 in Borganes. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Snaefell. The game was mostly controlled by Skallagrimur. Snaefell was better in fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Skallagrimur players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Snaefell's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Aaron Parks (190-94, college: CS Northridge) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Swingman Eyjolfur Halldorsson (194-98) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Christian Covile (193-93, college: Adrian) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Viktor Alexandersson (180-97) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Snaefell. Five Skallagrimur and four Snaefell players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Skallagrimur (19-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. Snaefell at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Skallagrimur will play against league's second-placed Breidablik in Kopavogur in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Snaefell will play on the road against Gnupverjar in Reykjavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
