Regular Season Round 23: Brissac Anjou - Gries/Oberhoffen 76-108

NM1 top team - Gries/Oberhoffen (20-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Brissac-Aubance (10-13) in Brissac-Quince 108-76. Gries/Oberhoffen shot 60.3 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Brissac-Aubance turnovers. Strangely Brissac-Aubance outrebounded Gries/Oberhoffen 36-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Gries/Oberhoffen players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a quality performance for swingman Glenn Duro (193-88) who led the winners and scored 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Gries/Oberhoffen players scored in double figures. Gries/Oberhoffen's coach Ludovic Pouillart felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Nigerian forward Zimmy Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Duran International) came up with 21 points and Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Brissac-Aubance in the defeat. Gries/Oberhoffen have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-2 record. Newly promoted Brissac-Aubance dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Boulogne and Souffel. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Rueil (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Brissac-Aubance will play against Vendee Challans (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
