Regular Season Round 22: Kutaisi - Rustavi 76-68

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kutaisi. First ranked Kutaisi faced their biggest opponent Energy Invest. Host Kutaisi (16-3) defeated guests from Rustavi (14-6) 76-68. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Energy Invest. The hosts were already 14 points ahead at halftime and as many as 24 after three quarters before a 25-9 last quarter charge of Energy Invest cut the lead to 76-68 at the end of the game. Kutaisi forced 19 Energy Invest turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jonathan Lee (188-90, college: Northeastern, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) contributed with 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Kutaisi's coach Konstantine Tugushi used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Adam Blazek (185-92, college: Gannon) replied with 23 points and 5 steals and his fellow American import forward Tyrell Nelson (201, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Energy Invest. Four Energy Invest players scored in double figures. Kutaisi have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-3 record.
