Second Stage Round 3: Tadamon - Louaize 96-80

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Zouk: Tadamon (#5) and Louaize (#2). Tadamon (2-18) crushed visiting Louaize (8-13) by 16 points 96-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Louaize. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import guard Steven Pledger (193-90, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 28 points for the winning side. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. Edward Bechara came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Hassan Dandach (187-91) added 17 points respectively for Louaize in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tadamon will play against Al Moutahed in Tripoli in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Louaize will have a break next round.
