We should mention about the upset which took place in Leon, where higher ranked Navarra (11-12) lost to fourteenth ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (9-14) in a road game 83-87. Navarra was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 31-20 charge of Agustinos-Leclerc, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Donovan Smith (206, college: Quinnipiac) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Two Points) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American-Ivorian forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Adrian Garcia (201-85) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Navarra in the defeat. Five Agustinos-Leclerc and four Navarra players scored in double figures. Agustinos-Leclerc moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Cambados and Plasencia. Navarra at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Agustinos-Leclerc's next round opponent will be higher ranked Fundacion 5+11 (#11) in Baskonia and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
