An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Saitama. Second ranked Otsuka A. faced 3rd placed Saitama Broncos. Guests from Tokyo (22-8) defeated host Saitama Broncos (19-9) 100-89. Otsuka A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and power forward Takeshi Hasegawa (196-84) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Otsuka A. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) with 25 points and 5 assists and American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Otsuka A. maintains second place with 22-8 record having just two points less than leader Tokyo HT. Saitama Broncos at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Big Blue.
