Very predictable result in Ourense where fourth ranked Leon (13-10) edged 11th ranked COB (9-14) 70-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-67. Javier Laborda (197-91) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Enrique Florez (177-96) chipped in 6 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Deyan Colado (-96) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Cristian Iglesias (198-94) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Leon maintains fourth place in Group A-B with 13-10 record, which they share with Carbajosa. COB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Leon will face bottom-ranked Rosalia (#10) in Santiago de Camp. in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. COB will play on the road against Estudiantes L. in Lugo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
