Regular Season Round 23: Myrtia - Granada 78-66

Round 23 in LEB Silver means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Murcia where host Myrtia (11-12) beat league's leader CB Granada (17-6) 78-66 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of CB Granada. The best player for the winners was Italian-Argentinian swingman Juan-Ignacio Jasen (196-85) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. British Matthew Don (201-93, college: Cameron) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Myrtia players scored in double figures. Power forward Devin Wright (202-86) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Myrtia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Navarra and Real Canoe. CB Granada at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Lucentum who have the same record. CB Granada will play next round against strong Albacete trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Myrtia will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Moron in Morón de la Frontera.
