Regular Season Round 17: AEK - Kolossos HH 95-79

Date: March 3, 2018
Rather expected game in Athens where 6th ranked Kolossos HH (9-8) was defeated by fourth ranked AEK (11-6) 95-79. The game was mostly controlled by AEK. Kolossos HH was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AEK forced 19 Kolossos HH turnovers. International Dusan Sakota (210-86, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points. American guard Kevin Punter (188-93, college: Tennessee) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American forward Ramon Harris (201-88, college: Kentucky) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: De Paul, agency: Two Points) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kolossos HH. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for AEK. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Lavrio. Kolossos HH at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. AEK's next round opponent will be Koroivos (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Kolossos HH will play against Lavrio (#3) and hope to win that game.
