Regular Season Round 21: Levallois - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 87-61

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Paris-Levallois and 13th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez had identical 9-11 record. This time Paris-Levallois used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Pau 87-61 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Paris-Levallois. Pau-Lacq-Orthez was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paris-Levallois looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. Paris-Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Chris Dowe (191-91, college: Bellarmine) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Paris-Levallois (10-11) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cholet and Gravelines. Loser Pau-Lacq-Orthez dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Paris-Levallois will face Boulazac Basket (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Hyeres-Toulon (#18) and hope to win that game.
