Regular Season Round 33: Inter Bratislava - Zilina 120-67

Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the twenty ninth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Zilina (5-28) 120-67. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Zilina's 28. They outrebounded Zilina 37-25 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Inter Bratislava shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Zilina's players. The former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Robert Rozanek (190-96) with 25 points and Serbian guard Jovan Crnic (196-94, college: Abil.Christian) scored 14 points. Defending champion maintains first place with 29-4 record. Zilina lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 28 games lost. Inter Bratislava will meet Kosice (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Zilina will play against Iskra Svit (#5) and hope to secure a win.
