Regular Season Round 25: Oviedo - Forca Lleida 67-64

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Oviedo CB (16-9) edged at home 12th ranked Lleida Basquet (10-15) 67-64 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Lleida Basquet was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 16-11 charge of Oviedo CB, which allowed them to win the game. Congolese forward Judicael Belemene (205-97) stepped up and scored 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and swingman Victor Perez (195-82) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Tim Derksen (193-94, college: USF) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91, college: Calgary) scored 13 points. Lleida Basquet's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oviedo CB maintains fifth place with 16-9 record. Lleida Basquet lost third consecutive game. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Oviedo CB will face Caceres Basket (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lleida Basquet will play against Ourense and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
