Regular Season Round 40: Ehime OV - Hiroshima D. 79-87

The most important game in the last round took place in Matsuyama between third ranked Orange Vikings (23-17) and fourth ranked Dragonflies (20-20) on Saturday night. Orange Vikings were defeated by Dragonflies in a tough game at home 79-87. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) responded with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Taishi Kasahara (188-89) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragonflies maintains fourth position with 20-20 record. Orange Vikings at the other side keep the third place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
