NEBL round 7 most important game was a victory of Dream Ballers over their biggest opponent Belize City D. 74-70 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Belize City D.. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Dream Ballers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Belize City D.'s 28. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Edgar Mitchell who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. D Conorque contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American forward Nigel Jones (200-90, college: Talladega) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Darwin Leslie (191-81) added 14 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Belize City D.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dream Ballers (4-1) moved-up to second place. Belize City D. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Smart Belize H.. Dream Ballers are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Orange Walk RR (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Belize City D.'s supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Belize City Smart Belize H..
