Regular Season Round 26: Shimane SM - San-en 71-76

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Shimane Magic (7-33) lost at home to third ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (19-21) 76-71 on Sunday. San-en NeoPhoenix shot 26 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Shimane Magic only scored seven points from the stripe. Shimane Magic was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four San-en NeoPhoenix players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Shimane Magic. Shimane Magic's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. San-en NeoPhoenix have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 19-21 record having thirteen points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Shimane Magic lost fourteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with 33 games lost. San-en NeoPhoenix will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shimane Magic will play at home against the league's leader Chiba Jets (#1) and hope to win that game.
