Regular Season Round 41: Shinshu BW - Kagawa FA 65-63

The most exciting game of round 41 in the B League D2 took place in Nagano. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Kagawa FA (16-22) to fifth ranked Shinshu BW (18-21) 65-63 in the game for the fifth place. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shinshu BW made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Furuhashi Hiroki (185-92) chipped in 20 points. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Tsukuba Tsukuba (188-92) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shinshu BW maintains fifth place with 18-21 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 22 games lost. Shinshu BW are looking forward to face higher ranked Kanazawa Sam. (#3) in Ishikawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kagawa FA will play on the road against Tokyo Z and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
