Eleventh-ranked Yamanashi QB (2-30) used its home court advantage to challenge eighth ranked Hitachi Cougars (11-21). The visitors from Hitachinaka managed to secure only two-point victory 64-62. However their fans expected easier game. Hitachi Cougars outrebounded Yamanashi QB 47-32 including 22 on the offensive glass.
