Regular Season Round 21: PuHu Juniorit - Bisons Loimaa 65-149

1st Division top team - Loimaan Korikonkarit (20-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked PuHu Juniorit (1-19) in Vantaa 149-65. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 112 of its points in the paint compared to PuHu Juniorit's 24. Loimaan Korikonkarit forced 26 PuHu Juniorit turnovers and outrebounded them 57-19 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Loimaan Korikonkarit looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by PuHu Juniorit's players. It was a good game for American guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with 29 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn, agency: SDJ Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Riku Pollanen answered with 17 points and Fedriko Fedriko added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for PuHu Juniorit. Newly promoted Loimaan Korikonkarit maintains first place in Division with 20-1 record. Loser PuHu Juniorit keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit will face Karkkila (#4) at home in the next round. PuHu Juniorit will play against Aanekosken Huima (#9) in Aanekoski and hope to win that game.
