Regular Season Round 26: IA - Vestri 84-96

Bottom-ranked IA is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 23th consecutive match to fourth ranked Vestri (16-7) 96-84. The game was mostly controlled by Vestri. IA was better in fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by IA's players. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) had a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds, 15 assists and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Ingimar Baldursson (186-98) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Vestri players scored in double figures. American point guard Marcus Dewberry (183, college: St.Leo) responded with a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists and Jon Frimannsson scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vestri moved-up to third place, which they share with Breidablik. IA at the other side still closes the standings. Vestri will play against league's leader Skallagrimur in Borganes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. IA will play at home against FSU (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
