There was a minor upset in Pistoia where 12th ranked Openjobmetis VA (8-12) was defeated by fourteenth ranked The Flexx PT (7-13) 74-65. The Flexx PT players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) who scored that evening 9 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists and the other American import guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) supported him with 20 points. The Flexx PT's coach Vincenzo Esposito allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by Nigerian-American swingman Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) did not help to save the game for Openjobmetis VA. American power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) added 5 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. The Flexx PT moved-up to thirteenth place. Openjobmetis VA at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. The Flexx PT's next round opponent will be higher ranked MIA-RO Cantu (#9) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
