The game in Reykjavik was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Snaefell (12-11) played at the court of seventh ranked Gnupverjar (9-14). Gnupverjar managed to secure a 4-point victory 99-95. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 35-30 run, which allowed them to win the game. Gnupverjar made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Gnupverjar outrebounded Snaefell 48-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) who had a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Atli Gunnarsson (197-85) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Christian Covile (193-93, college: Adrian) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and point guard Geir Helgason (180-96) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Snaefell players scored in double figures. Gnupverjar moved-up to sixth place. Snaefell at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Gnupverjar's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Hamar on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Snaefell will play against Breidablik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
