Regular Season Round 30: Ciudadela - Union Oran 69-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Ciudadela's (7-12) home victory over 6th ranked UD Nueva Oran (3-13) 69-65 on Sunday. Ciudadela dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to UD Nueva Oran's 18. The best player for the winners was center Juan Loru (204-84) who scored 14 points. Guard Facundo Alvarez (186-98) chipped in 15 points. Four Ciudadela players scored in double figures. Ciudadela's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Luis Ponce (178-90) who recorded 19 points and point guard Jose Juarez (183-85) added 18 points respectively. Newly promoted Ciudadela maintains fifth position with 7-12 record, which they share with Estudiantes LP. UD Nueva Oran lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost. Ciudadela will face higher ranked El Tribuno (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UD Nueva Oran will play against Alberdi (#4) and hope to win that game.
