Bottom-ranked Real Betis managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Joventut in Sevilla 86-81. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Real Betis dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Joventut's 30. Real Betis had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Joventut lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. Real Betis will play against higher ranked Andorra (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Joventut will play against the league's second-placed Baskonia (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
