Second Stage Round 15: Hindu - Union SF 85-70

There was no surprise in Chaco where 7th ranked Union SF (15-14) was defeated by second ranked Hindu (20-12) 85-70 on Sunday. Hindu dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Union SF's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for forward Pablo Fernandez (198-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St.) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Hindu players scored in double figures. Hindu's coach Eric Rovner used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Haitian-American forward James Cambronne (201-91, college: St.Michael's) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Miguel Isola (197-83) scored 17 points. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hindu. They maintain second place in North with 20-12 record having just three point less than leader Libertad S. Loser Union SF dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. Hindu will face Barrio Parque (#6) in Cordoba in the next round. Union SF will play on the road against Obera TC and hope to win that game.
