Regular Season Round 19: Venezia - Napoli 75-62

An interesting game for Venezia (15-4) which hosted in Venezia 4th placed Napoli (11-8). Second ranked Venezia managed to get a 13-point victory 75-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Napoli. They outrebounded Napoli 53-28 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Venezia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Camille Little (188-85, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. American-Romanian power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Venezia's coach Andrea Liberalotto used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Greek-American guard Jacki Gemelos (182-88, college: USC) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Nene Diene (180-92) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Napoli. Venezia have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-4 record having just two points less than leader Familia Schio. Napoli at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Venezia are looking forward to face league's leader Familia Schio on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Napoli will play against Ragusa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
