Regular Season Round 32: Chanson V-M - JX-Eneos S. 62-83

An interesting game for JX-Eneos S. (31-1) which played road game in Shizuoka against 4th ranked Chanson V-M (22-10). First ranked JX-Eneos S. had an easy win 83-62. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Chanson V-M. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Chanson V-M was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chanson V-M 46-25 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and international point guard Asami Yoshida (165-87) who added 15 points and 8 assists during the contest. The former international center Rika Tanimura (184-93) responded with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Chikae Uchino (176-93) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 31-1 record. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Fujitsu RW. JX-Eneos S. will play against Fujitsu RW (#5) in Kawasaki in the next round. Chanson V-M will play on the road against the league's second-placed Denso Iris in Kariya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
