Paschoalotto/Bauru (#5) was upset in Salvador by eighth ranked Universo/Vitoria 82-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. Universo/Vitoria made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Universo/Vitoria especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. American point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). His fellow American import point guard Nick Okorie (185-88, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Universo/Vitoria players scored in double figures. American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) answered with 24 points and international guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Paschoalotto/Bauru. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Universo/Vitoria maintains eighth place with 13-12 record. Paschoalotto/Bauru at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Universo/Vitoria's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (#5) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against SKY/Basquete in Aldeota and hope to win that game.
