Regular Season Round 24: Saint-Quentin - Boulogne 85-51

There was no surprise when 13th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (10-14) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Saint-Quentin (17-7) 85-51 on Tuesday. Saint-Quentin forced 26 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by SO Maritime Boulogne's players. SO Maritime Boulogne was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American swingman Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) who scored 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Canadian-British power forward Maurice Walker (208-91, college: Minnesota) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin's coach Jerome Navier felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) who recorded 11 points and 4 assists and center Adolphe-Michel Jean-Baptiste (206-79) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Saint-Quentin moved-up to third place, which they share with RAC Basket. SO Maritime Boulogne lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Saint-Quentin will face Brissac-Aubance (#12) in Brissac-Quince in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play at home against ALS Basket and hope to win that game.
