The game had a very big importance for second-ranked BC Lulea as it allowed them to take a leadership position. BC Lulea smashed 7th ranked Uppsala Basket at home 99-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Uppsala Basket. The game without a history. BC Lulea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 6 assists. The other American import guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: N.Arizona) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jalen Jenkins (201-94, college: George Mason) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Uppsala Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Uppsala Basket at the other side keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost. Uppsala Basket will play next round against strong KFUM Jamtland trying to get back on the winning streak. BC Lulea will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Umea on the road.
