Regular Season Round 21: Fos-Provence - Rouen 83-71

There was no surprise in Fos-sur-Mer where 9th ranked SPO Rouen (10-11) was defeated by third ranked Provence Basket (16-5) 83-71. The game was mostly controlled by Provence Basket. SPO Rouen was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Provence Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Ivorian-American swingman Charles Abouo (196-89, college: BYU) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Provence Basket's coach Remi Giutta allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nigerian-British guard Obi Emegano (190-93, college: ORU) answered with 16 points and American Desmond Williams (199-91, college: S.Connecticut) added 14 points in the effort for SPO Rouen. Provence Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 16-5 record behind leader Blois. SPO Rouen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Provence Basket's next round opponent will be ALM Evreux (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. SPO Rouen will play against Sluc Nancy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
