Regular Season Round 24: GECR Indalo - San Lorenzo 83-61

Date: March 7, 2018
The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked San Lorenzo (16-3) in Comodoro Rivadavia on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by eleventh ranked GECR Indalo (10-9) 83-61. GECR Indalo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to San Lorenzo's 30. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Shaquille Johnson (190-90, college: Marshall) who added 18 points during the contest. Four GECR Indalo players scored in double figures. GECR Indalo's coach Martin Villagran felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) with 17 points and 4 assists and international point guard Jose Vildoza (190-96, agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points. GECR Indalo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Weber Bahia. San Lorenzo at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. GECR Indalo is looking forward to face Weber Bahia (#9) in Bahia Blanca in the next round. San Lorenzo will play at home against Quilmes MP (#16) and is hoping to win this game.
