Regular Season Round 12: Giants - Rockets 94-92

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Rockets (9-4) in Nassau on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by Giants (13-0) 94-92. Giants forced 27 Rockets turnovers. Strangely Rockets outrebounded Giants 62-42 including a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Michael Bain (185-85) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and David Taylor who added 20 points during the contest. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Giants' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Eugene Bain (195-88, college: Bellevue) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and international center Livingston Munnings (-92) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. Giants have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-0 record which they share with defeated Rockets. Rockets at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. They share the position with Shockers.
