Second Stage Round 2: Olimpia - Gorizont 77-67

An interesting game for Olimpia (25-2) which hosted in Grodno Gorizont (17-10). Olimpia managed to get a 10-point victory 77-67. It looked good early as Gorizont took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Olimpia had a 28-15 second period charge getting the lead and Gorizont was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-77. Olimpia made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Gorizont turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Natallia Dashkevich (188-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Olimpia's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Russian center Anna Nuzhnaya (194-92) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Olga Gromik (183-93) added 8 points and 16 rebounds respectively for the guests. Olimpia's next round opponent will be Gomel-Sozh (#4) at home. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki-Minsk.
