The game in Keflavik was also worth to mention about. Second ranked IR (16-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Keflavik (10-12). IR managed to secure a 5-point victory 74-69. It looked good early as Keflavik took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then IR had a 22-16 second period charge getting the lead and Keflavik was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-74. American forward Ryan Taylor (196-92, college: Marshall) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and international point guard Matthias Sigurdarson (183-94, college: Columbus St.) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Christian Jones (201-93, college: UNLV, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Keflavik. The former international guard Hordur Vilhjalmsson (194-88) added 16 points and 6 assists for lost side. IR maintains second position with 16-6 record having just one point less than leader Haukar, which they share with Tindastoll. Keflavik at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost.
