Regular Season Round 22: Alvik Basket - KFUM Uppsala 76-81

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Alvik Basket (12-7) against tenth ranked KFUM Uppsala (4-17) on Thursday night. Host Alvik Basket was defeated by KFUM Uppsala in a tough game in Stockholm 76-81. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-76. KFUM Uppsala made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American point guard Heather Butler (165-90, college: Tenn-Martin) notched 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Korinne Campbell (184-88, college: W.Virginia) supported her with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by international guard Klara Lundquist (173-99) did not help to save the game for Alvik Basket. Italian guard Iilaria Zanoni (180-86) added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. Newly promoted KFUM Uppsala maintains tenth position with 4-17 record. Alvik Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. KFUM Uppsala will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Alvik Basket will play again against KFUM Uppsala and hope to secure a win.
