Regular Season Round 24: Bergamo - F.Kontatto BO 89-91

Sixteenth-ranked Bergamo (5-19) made lots of trouble for first ranked F.Kontatto BO (18-6). The visitors from Bologna managed to secure only two-point victory 91-89. However their fans expected much easier game. F.Kontatto BO made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Bergamo was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international swingman Guido Rosselli (198-83) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) contributed with 16 points for the winners. F.Kontatto BO's coach Matteo Boniciolli allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack) added 20 points in the effort for Bergamo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory F.Kontatto BO went down to second position (A2) due to points difference. Newly promoted Bergamo dropped to the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. F.Kontatto BO will play against Treviso Basket (#4) at home in the next round. Bergamo will play against Imola (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
