Very predictable result in Torun where second ranked Twarde Pierniki (18-7) outscored bottom-ranked Legia (2-22) 98-59 on Friday. Twarde Pierniki dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Legia's 38. They outrebounded Legia 39-20 including a 28-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Twarde Pierniki especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Legia's players. American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: 3Eye) fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Krzysztof Sulima (204-90) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Piotr Robak (194-91) produced 16 points and American forward Hunter Mickelson (208-92, college: Kansas, agency: 3Eye) added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Twarde Pierniki have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-7 record having just one point less than leader Anwil. Newly promoted Legia stay dead last with 22 lost games. Twarde Pierniki will face Start (#11) in Lublin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Legia will play at home against Trefl (#7) and hope to win that game.
