Regular Season Round 24: Kutaisi - Sokhumi 118-81

Superleague top team - Kutaisi (17-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Sokhumi (1-21) 118-81. The game without a history. Kutaisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jonathan Lee (188-90, college: Northeastern, agency: Court Side) who scored 32 points and 6 assists. The former international point guard Beqa Tsivtsivadze (190-89) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. Kutaisi's coach Konstantine Tugushi felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian swingman Sergii Pryimak (204-96, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who recorded 16 points and 5 assists and center Sergo Atuashvili (223-85) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Kutaisi and four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. Kutaisi maintains first position with 17-4 record. Sokhumi lost nineteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Kutaisi will meet Mgzavrebi (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Sokhumi will play against Energy Invest and hope to win that game.
