A very interesting game took place in Barcelona. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Magia Huesca (10-16) to sixteenth ranked Barca II (9-17) 88-85 on Saturday evening. Magia Huesca was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 27-16 charge of Barca II, which allowed them to win the game. Ukrainian power forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, college: Portland) notched 22 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Aleix Font (192-98) supported him with 16 points. Four Barca II players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by Jamaican-American center Vashil Fernandez (208-92, college: Valparaiso) did not help to save the game for Magia Huesca. Forward Sergio Rodriguez (195-93) added 20 points for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Barca II moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Sammic ISB. Magia Huesca lost third consecutive game. Magia Huesca at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Barca II's next round opponent will be league's leader Leche Rio Breogan in Lugo and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
