Regular Season Round 16: Bosco - Sanac 76-81

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Bosco (9-7) against twelfth ranked Sanac (5-11) on Saturday night. Host Bosco was defeated by Sanac in a tough game in Zagreb 76-81. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bosco won third quarter 23-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sanac made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by naturalized Slovenian forward Branimir Josipovic (204-81, agency: Court Side) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) supported him with 26 points and 6 assists. Even 15 points and 4 assists by swingman Marin Kuga (196-95) did not help to save the game for Bosco. Point guard Jaksa Milatic (182-96) added 12 points and 5 assists for lost side. Four Bosco players scored in double figures. Bosco's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sanac moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Graficar. Bosco lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Rudes. Sanac will meet at home higher ranked Universitas (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bosco will play against Graficar in Ludberg and hope to secure a win.
