Regular Season Round 22: Toyoda Gosei - Saitama Bron. 79-73

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Saitama Broncos (19-11) against fifth ranked Toyoda Gosei (17-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Saitama Broncos were defeated by Toyoda Gosei in a tough game in Aichi 73-79. It was a great shooting night for Toyoda Gosei especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a very good performance for point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St., agency: HMS) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyoda Gosei maintains fifth position with 17-13 record. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the third place with 11 games lost. Toyoda Gosei's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Aichi to the arena Aisin AW.
