Regular Season Round 22: Artego Bydg. - JAS FBG 91-77

Leader Artego Bydg. delivered the eighteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 10th ranked JAS FBG (4-16) 91-77 in Bydgoszcz. Artego Bydg. shot 62.3 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by JAS FBG's players. Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Julie McBride (163-82, college: Syracuse) chipped in 10 points and 12 assists during the contest. Artego Bydg.'s coach Tomasz Herkt used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) responded with 24 points and her fellow American import point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Artego Bydg. and five JAS FBG players scored in double figures. Artego Bydg. (18-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. JAS FBG lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Artego Bydg. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. JAS FBG will play against the league's second-placed Wisla Krakow (#2) and hope to secure a win.
